As Deputy Director at the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience (SVIR), I ensure operational excellence by maintaining administrative workflow across the team while working closely with the Executive Director to coordinate strategic planning, financial management, and day-to-day operations. I serve as a proxy for the Executive Director and collaborate with all SVIR staff and contract workers, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration. Additionally, I stay updated on current trends in community resilience, philanthropy, and regional needs to drive informed decision-making and effective execution of SVIR's mission.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee and execute financial management systems including, but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable processes, running payroll, bank account reconciliation and report creation.• Support Executive Director and Treasurer with annual tax filing procedures.• Oversee and execute received gift processes including, but not limited to, donation records and tax acknowledgement letters.• Manage all operational systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Teams, Google Suite (email & calendar), licensing and insurance, staff and contractor on-boarding, and board support.• Assist the Executive Director with strategic planning and coordination of the organization’s programs, projects, and policy positions. • Manage the organization in the absence of the Executive Director.

Responsible for directing actions across the organization and managing our financial health. This involved tasks such as financial planning, budgeting, and bill paying. Additionally, I actively contributed to the development of SVIR’s strategic goals and objectives, as well as the overall management of the organization

In this position, I ensured operational coherence and maintained the administrative workflow across the Sun Valley Institute team. I was responsible for providing organizational support, implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and executing administrative projects

In this position, I was responsible for managing the schedules and communications for the Executive Director. My duties included prioritizing emails and phone calls, conducting research, gathering documents to prepare for meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
