After the closure of Carneghi and Partners, Inc., I joined Watts, Cohn and Partners, Inc. and assisted in the set up and management of their new appraisal firm. As an appraisal researcher, I gather information on a property and create a written report detailing the legal, financial, and physical history of the subject. Appraisal reports are essentially in-depth profiles of real estate, and include sale and lease comparables as well as written adjustments to demonstrate how the appraiser reached the value conclusion. My other responsibilities include writing responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from potential clients, explaining our services and past experience. I am often the point of contact for our clients, and coordinate with them for everything from billing and invoicing, scheduling, to answering any questions they may have about our appraisal reports. I also function as the office manager and handle all our Quickbooks bookkeeping, supply ordering, and general upkeep.

As a researcher, my responsibilities included researching, confirming, and writing up comparable sales data for appraisal report purposes. In this position I gained experience calling brokers to confirm comparable sales so that our appraisals reflected the most accurate information possible.

Writer and copy editor for Spanish travel site: http://www.casaresinternacional.com. During university, I worked remotely for a Spanish translation and travel site, researching and writing travel guides for various British tourist destinations. The position included choosing sites of interest, researching popular attractions, creating a travel guide, and writing copy for the accompanying advertisements. I also provided copy editing for their Spanish to English translations.

Worked as a marketer for a local business during the summer and winter breaks. During this time I sought out potential clients and other small businesses, maintaining a good relationship with current clients, keeping client database and notes up to date, sending thank you notes, and organizing marketing and charity sponsorship events.

Worked public relations for local bar/restaurant. This included organizing events, coordinating PR staff schedule, writing up advertisements and notices, handling the front door, setting up for special events, and managing promotional items.
