I support the Lumberjack Mathematics Center (LMC) within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The LMC encompasses a tutoring lab, testing room, and classrooms for four first-year math courses. I manage the hiring process, scheduling, and payroll of student tutors, as well as provide general support to the graduate teaching assistants and faculty.

I worked in the Office of Elections to support counting center operations statewide for federal, state, and county elections. This involved recruiting, scheduling, and managing payroll for election volunteers, as well as managing the inventory, organization, and shipment of election supplies for each county. I also provided general support to the office, which included responding to voter inquiries, supply/equipment procurement, and managing the inventory system required by the state.

Federal Way, Wa

As an AmeriCorps Supervisor, I managed, coached, and trained diverse groups of AmeriCorps members serving as tutors within Federal Way Public Schools. My main focus was on the elementary tutoring program and a community after-school program, of which I oversaw all of the logistics and planning. This included the planning of two annual parent outreach events, and an annual community resource event. I also managed the performance measurement data collection process and analysis for the program, which involved collecting and reviewing assessment scores of over 5,000 students each year. Additionally, I managed our website and Facebook account, and helped to write two AmeriCorps grants to sustain the program.

Olympia, Wa

During my service as an AmeriCorps Leader, I provided support and technical assistance to Washington Reading Corps AmeriCorps members throughout the state of Washington. I served as a liaison between members and their supervisors and facilitated site visits to check in with members about their service experience. I also managed the data collection process, which involved collecting student assessment scores from each member-served school. Once the data was collected, I analyzed it and created reports for Washington Service Corps staff, which provided the necessary information to show the effectiveness of the program.

Winnemucca, Nv

As an AmeriCorps Naturalist, I served as an education facilitator for K-8 students in rural Nevada. I revised and prepared inquiry-based science lessons each month and then facilitated them within multiple classrooms on a daily basis. I also planned and facilitated youth summer day camps, after-school programs, field trips, and other educational programs, while adhering to strict budgets.

Capulin Volcano National Monument, Nm

In my first AmeriCorps position, I served as a content creator and education facilitator for Capulin Volcano National Monument. This involved the revision and development of new Junior Ranger books, which are educational activity books designed for young visitors to the park. I also developed and presented an interpretive program for visitors and assisted with other educational programming in the local community.

Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Wa

As an Environmental Interpreter Intern, I assisted with the development and facilitation of the Junior Ranger Program at the Mount St. Helens visitor center. Within this program, I led interactive and educational family friendly hikes and facilitated children's science experiments.
