I am passionate about adding value to others and organizations by facilitating reflection, growth and learning. I am currently a twenty-one-year leader in the area of curriculum and instruction. I believe the smartest person in the room, is the room, so collaboration, listening and building on our collective knowledge is what I love to facilitate. I am a strong believer in moving the needle one nudge at a time. You don't always need large-scale change to make an impact on students. I currently do this work through FiredUP Consulting Group and Annie Palmer Consulting. Areas where I serve most is literacy, curriculum and instruction, RtI, PLC, high-impact instructional strategies, coaching, communication and leading strategic change.I was a classroom teacher for 10 years. I am have been fortunate to serve in curriculum and instruction for the 11 years following my time in the classroom, having served students and staff in grades K-12. This work has included developing, monitoring and revising a guaranteed and viable curriculum, coaching teachers and leaders, designing professional learning, establishing lab classrooms and leading data teaming and response to intervention efforts. This has led to a 27 percentile increase in state rankings on the MAP test over the course of seven years a true collaborative effort!I have recently put an emphasis on writing instruction at the K-6 level.
