The daughter of an interior designer, Annie Lee is the principal event planner at Daughter of Design, author of "Learn to Speak Wedding: Flashcards for Beginners", and founder of the global event planner marketplace, Plannie.com. Annie is also an advisor to wedding fintech startup, Maroo (Y-Combinator Summer 2021).Annie has been described as a "smart, fierce woman with a strong sense of self (not to mention incredible taste in decor and fashion)." Annie is an avid problem solver and entrepreneur with a focus on the event market, once spearheading the event industry movement to #postponedontcancel #saveevents #safeevents during the Covid-19 crisis. Annie is recognized as one of the top event planners by Party Slate and top wedding planners by Harper's Bazaar, Martha Stewart Weddings, and The Knot. She has also been called “The Wedding Doctor” by Refinery29, “the wedding doyene” and expert by Brides Magazine, and “celebrity entertaining expert” by People Magazine. She has been a speaker at Engage! Summit, The Knot Workshop, and The Bridal Masterclass. Annie is originally from Los Angeles and has since lived in the Bay Area and New York City. Her events and speaking engagements keep her traveling worldwide but currently Miami is where she keeps all her shoes.
