Starting my career at TIAA as a consultant advising clients, the skills that I learned included listening, assessing needs, collaborating with people, and analyzing and preparing for the future. As Sr. Director, Business Management, the skills I use the most are assessing needs, collaborating with people, and analyzing and preparing for the future. My career in between has been an incredible experience of challenges, relationship building, growth, transformation, and innovation, that in my first role I could never have predicted. Some of the most significant moments of my career include helping to start the Denver office, overseeing training for 11 Western offices, establishing a set of standards for all new representatives, implementing impactful projects using Lean/Six Sigma, heading a communications program, leading the change management and readiness strategy and launching a new sales enablement platform for the sales organization. These endeavors have proven to me that if you combine innovative strategy, talented people, and excellent processes, anything is possible. One way of enhancing the workplace experience I have found is by continually learning. This practice started when I realized the business applications of my MBA education. I have continued this by pursuing certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Change Management, Professional Coaching, and Scaled Agile (SAFe 5). Staying at the forefront of methods and tactics facilitates problem-solving and strategy development. Experience, skills, learning opportunities, and the impact that teamwork can have on a business, clients, and colleagues have me excited to go to work each day. I am always interested in hearing about how your team has achieved success and share some of our accomplishments, don't hesitate to connect.
