The freelancing work with Don Bosco Delhi involved a three-months short-term project focused on providing training to Afghan refugee women on Self-Help Group (SHG) formation and maintenance. The goal of the project was to empower these women by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to create and sustain self-help groups, fostering financial independence, and fostering a supportive community.Project Responsibilities:• Training Curriculum Development• Training Delivery• Empowerment and Skill-Building• Capacity Building• Monitoring and Evaluation• Cultural SensitivityOutcomes and Impact:By the end of the one-month project, the Afghan refugee women had gained essential skills in financial management, group dynamics, and income-generating activities. I got the opportunity to serve as State Coordinator after working as a Relief & Rehabilitation Coordinator for one year and eight months.My role was to: -Ensure smooth functioning of projects going on in state (Uttarakhand)-Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives.-Ensure better management of Microfinance (About 400 SHGs)-Develop business plans for Organic Cooperative and Sarthak SEWA Pvt. Ltd (BC Company)-Determine the organizational structure of the project team-Setting team direction-Coordinating activities across different organizational functions-Motivating team members-Checking project progress towards meeting the objectives-Determining the cause of deviations from the plan-Taking corrective actions to address deviations.

SEWA Bharat is committed to strengthening the movement of women in the informal economy by highlighting their issues at the national level and building its member organizations’ capacity to empower them. I was appointed after the flash flood that occurred in Uttarakhand in June 2013. Rudraprayag was one of the worst affected districts of Uttarakhand.My role performed:-Conduct a ground-level survey to access the felt need of flood survivors in the area-Supervised relief distribution procedure covering 2000 families in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.-Designed rehabilitation project to ensure the mainstreaming of the flood survivors.-Established two community resource centers to ensure the holistic development of the communities.-Coordination of planned activities and liaison with key projects partners and associates intervention-Day –to- Day planning and supervision of activities and budget implementation during the relief distribution process-Data collection, processing, and presentation.-Organization of training for filed level staff involved in the relief and rehabilitation process to share knowledge and generate expertise.-Ensure gender is effectively mainstreaming throughout the project activities, work plans, budgets, reports, analyses, and where specifically relevant, analyzed in detail.-Ensure the activities are implemented in line with internal control mechanisms and rules and procedures-Ensures knowledge on gender equality is incorporated in Project Knowledge management activities and products.-Effective liaison, maintenance, and development of good working relations with project partners;-Create a network for voluntary cooperation in the area.-Supervised Government and non Government projects like NABARD, UNDP, and UN WOMEN.

Ruaab began out of SEWA, India’s largestmovement of informal workers, when home-based embroidery workers in Delhi andweavers in Bihar sought a solution to the economic and social exploitation that theyfaced. The company got incorporated in 2009 as an intervention to the abuses and exploitation thatwomen faced in the garment supply chain. As a CEO my role was:-Providing support for the functioning of the Ruaab as per the guidelines -Development of Business plan and execution for Ruaab -Conducting market research and building profitable market linkages -Creating systems and process to ensure smooth functioning of all verticals of Ruaab -Ensure long term financial sustainability for the company -Ensuring the business grows while taking care of the needs of members-To look after the overall functioning of the enterprise including developing business plans, managing team, and entire operations.-Capacity Building of staff wherever needed.

SOS Children's Villages is an international non-profit organization based in Austria, working in the field of child development and child rights. My roles and responsibilities here are basically briefed in points.-Selection of families to be put under the family strengthening program after conducting research studies.-Ensure program implementation is in line with program standards and guidelines in terms of quality, compliance, and cost.-Prepare annual budget for the project, seek approval and monitor operations of the project to ensure compliance with the budget.-Oversee the collection and updating of statistics for the project.-Community development which included providing livelihood and creating awareness for education.-Empowering women by providing livelihood in consultation with the family.-Providing skill enhancement training keeping in mind the social construct of the community.-Capacity building of women who are socially isolated due to certain reasons.-Networking & Partnership with other NGOs & government officials
