Processing customer orders, order picking, checking, packing, and shipping are the outbound processes. Outbound processes are more labor intensive than the inbound processes.

As a purchase executive, you must manage and report day- to-day functioning of the purchasing department, which calls for complete visibility on Open Purchase and Job Work Orders, Quotations, Pending Receipt – Suppliers/Subcontractor etc.

 Berth/Anchorage Spot booking for the vessel with the port authorities (Call announcement).  Liaison with the various service suppliers (Courier services, Water Taxis, Ship Chandlers, Fresh Water Supply, Bunker Suppliers, Transportation services etc) for scheduling and delivery of goods and services to the vessel. Be present at sites to monitor cargo loading and unloading operations. Communicate with clients on status of cargo clearance. Communicate with local agencies on daily work matters. Handle cargo documentations, invoices and inwards shipment. Identify potential clients and board different type of ships . Manage and guide Shipping Clerks (Documentation). Monitor ship arrival and departure. Optimise the use of resources. Organise resources to support operations. Prepare quotations and distributes disbursements for ship owners and shipping lines. Process all formalities and declarations on time to ensure smooth entry/departure of ships. Solve problems during the course of work. Suggest workflow improvement for better efficiency
