Senior Engineer
CurrentAs a senior engineer, I exemplified technical leadership through my role as the primary lead for the SnapMirror Business Continuity development team. Within this capacity, I oversaw the entire lifecycle of a critical project, focusing specifically on the data-path architecture. My primary objective entailed the creation of a robust solution capable of facilitating seamless application granular storage fail-over across metropolitan distances. Key aspects of the project included ensuring write order consistency, establishing consistency groups, implementing quorum consensus, deploying mediator functionality, incorporating tie-breaker mechanisms, enabling synchronous replication, enhancing replication performance through i-node dependency graphs, and facilitating non-disruptive operations based on persistent inflight operation tracking. Furthermore, I played an integral role in the development of comprehensive procedures for both planned and unplanned fail-over scenarios. During the qualification phase, I got an opportunity to successfully debug, and resolve several intricate data corruption issues. Additionally, I spearheaded the fail-over IO resumption time performance improvement project, achieving a notable 50% increase in IORT efficiency. The SMBC projects witnessed the filing of multiple patents by NetApp. To know more about SM-BC, visit: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/smbc/#benefits
