I worked at Tshepong Hospital in my final year of my pharmacy degree to get exposure to the public sector. I rotated a lot around the hospital to get experience in different departments which included the TB and Psych department. I was also delegated to do admin tasks regarding the in and out patients. I got to know the dispensing program RX Solutions and dispensed medicine under supervision of a pharmacist.

I learned the basics of Unisolv dispensing program while dispensing schedule 1 and schedule 2 medicine under supervision of a pharmacist. I answered the phone to assist patients telephonically and I also participated in administrative tasks like filing and scanning of prescriptions. I checked expiry dates of all the medicine in the dispensary to get familiar with the name and strengths of medicine.
