    Journey began as a new approach to engaging firsthand with social impact. Our foundational belief that empathy is a human instinct: when you see someone in pain, or in danger, it is your instinct to help them, rather than turning away and perpetuating suffering. We set out to capture that instinct, and provide a way for people to engage with social impact in deep, authentic and fun way that encourages them to deepen their involvement in social causes and make new decisions about how they show up in the world. Journey leads groups of 30 to 75 people to participate in local and international volunteer opportunities. We are incorporated as a PBC (public benefit corp), have our own non-profit Ushwara, and partner with other non-profits in our target markets to ensure the impact work is vetted, and sustained after we leave.
