CurrentWe research, develop, and deploy software-defined networks at datacenter and planetary scales.My team is at the forefront of Software Defined Networking (SDN), a new paradigm that is atthe bleeding edge of networking research, and have made several crucial contributions to this field such as planetary-scale virtualization, overlay routing, client side load-balancing, on-host firewalls, user-space packet switching, network function virtualization (NFV), and proxyless networking.Our team’s work spans the areas of Service Networking, Hybrid Multi-Cloud Deployments, Global Load Balancing, Enterprise Connectivity, and Security. We have successfully launched several innovative industry leading solutions such as Private Service Connect, High Availability VPN, Network Load Balancers, Application Load Balancers, Terabit Partner Interconnect, Cloud Router, Network Connectivity Center, VPC Peering, and Private Service Access.Our team created Andromeda, Google’s SDN virtualization platform underlying Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We had to scale its globally distributed infrastructure to support GCP’s rapid growth from zero to $20B ARR business, while continuing to increase its availability, performance, and security. Our team has been repeatedly identified as the top innovator within Google.
