As a teacher, I am the direct connection between my students, their parents, and my district. In this role I manage the design, testing, instruction, implementation and modification of all online and in person social science courses. I build meaningful relationships with parents to ensure parental involvement. Some of my greatest achievements in this role have been leading as the Middle School Department Chair since my first year, and implementing the school wide communication and PBIS system LiveSchool to increase parent teacher communication and improve student behavior whilst rewarding them at the same time.

As a program manager, I was responsible for overseeing the daily productivity of teachers, counselors and staff to ensure the quality and standards of the program were met. I created shell courses for new teachers and maintained the LMS that we used for the program. I conducted interviews, created training materials and coordinated the training for new teachers and staff. I reviewed all materials and content prior to it being taught, and tracked the engagement and progress of students. Then I used the data to make informed decisions on program changes. In this role I learned a lot about the management of a team, and how improvement and changes are necessary.
