I’ve spent the last 25 years helping organisations and individuals to transform and grow. My career started with satellites and launchers but most of my leadership positions haven’t been rocket science – they’ve been about helping organisations and individuals to re-visualise a more exciting future, and then helping to lead them to create that self-sustaining, positive outcome. I’ve been lucky enough to lead the creation and reshaping of exciting Tech businesses that are now worth hundreds of millions, and in a couple of cases billions, of pounds – but I’m equally if not more excited about the leadership teams I’ve left in place, the people I’ve helped coach to go on and do even more, and the positive impact we have had on society. Today, I lead Defence Equipment and Support for the UK MOD. We are a team of roughly 12,000 people dedicated to helping our nation’s phenomenal service personnel to deter aggression and maintain our democratic way of life. We work to energise the UK and allied defence industry to deliver the best possible quantity, capability and availability defence systems our nation can afford.
