As our economy transforms into a digital economy, it is vital that South Africa begins to embrace this transformation and prepare for it adequately. This is no easy task. Our education system has not fundamentally changed since the second world war where we still train students to study hard, learn facts and figures, get good grades so that they can get a good job in a good company. We are educating our population to be replaced by robotic processes. This is already happening in South Africa as we have already deployed robotic process technology into local large corporations reducing the need for humans. I am working with like-minded people, companies and government agencies to create an ecosystem to transform our society into a digitally enabled society where South Africans can play a meaningful role in the fourth industry revolution. This is vital to growing our economy in these emerging technologies so that we can become a net producer of technology rather than a net consumer. This is where we need to focus in order to save our economy and jobs for South Africans.
