I love to piece a problem together. Whether that is physically building/repairing something from its component parts or investigating the key elements of a problem and piecing them together to discover a root cause. The drive to keep digging that bit deeper until it is complete keeps me going. Strangely though, I cant stand jigsaw's.My personal skill set is simple:1. Problem solving, as above2. I am passionate about communicating, always wanting to be in the loop and wanting to keep others in the loop. The more people connected to a task, the easier it makes said task (and my life!).3. Learning! Really, who doesn't love learning? As a kid I was regularly bought encyclopedias because I spent so much time sat around reading fact after fact and getting my mind blown every so often (dinosaurs had FEATHERS?!?). I wish I could say I still do this, but I do genuinely enjoy learning.Currently I manage a mid sized team (~10) in a very busy laboratory. My activities will be highly varied depending on my teams' needs; one day I might be sat at the computer completing investigations and the rest of the week might see me providing theoretical or hands-on training and 'getting my hands dirty' completing the routine method tasks. I quickly feel out of place if I have nothing to do or to keep my mind occupied.Outside of work I am steadily learning to code and am self-certified as semi-capable in Python and C#, but this is just a hobby for now.If you want to chat about coding, help me write a professional summary or discuss opportunities with me, feel free to get in touch!
