Strategy development, policy creation and implementation of Life Chance Resourcing within the MoJ, delivering job opportunities for the Armed Forces Family, Prison leavers & Care Leavers. In post I have devised and delivered the Advance into Justice scheme ( watch this space in 2025!) spearheaded the MoJ's work on the Going Forward into Employment scheme and implemented the Probation Employment Pathway, each supporting recruitment delivery colleagues to meet business requirements. I lead the MoJ Resourcing policy team and am responsible for a team of policy leads that develop and maintain all departmental recruitment policies and proactively support the business with their recruitment challenges. I also lead,from a resourcing perspective, on the implementation of the new Avature ATS system for the MoJ assuring legislative and departmental requirements are met.

Managed the successful delivery of myHub - a replacement HR,Finance and Procurement information portal for HM Prison and Probation Service providing 70,000+ staff access to self-service tools and insight.Successfully managed the transition of >1200 operational staff from NPS Divisions to the Community and Interventions Directorate.Organised and delivered the transition of 25 staff from the HMPPS Quantum network to the MoJ DOM1 network. Secured finance, managed procurement of technology and licences and facilitated the safe and secure data migration of over 25,000 corporate files.Engaged with 46 sites across the Prison estate to embed apprenticeships into establishments on behalf of Learning and Development. Assessing the readiness of Prisons and developing action plans to assist transition to delivering Apprenticeships across the whole estate.

Programme managed the largest, most collaborative programme of work ever undertaken within the MoJ, to successfully recruit 2,500 additional prison officers. I brought together a multi-faceted team of varying professions and kept them accountable and on track to deliver the ambitious target.

I was responsible for modernising the recruitment practices of the Ministry of Justice. I was working with internal and external partners to deliver reforms to current methods which aim to make the MOJ more appealing to applicants whilst reducing the time and cost expenditure to the department in recruiting.My ambition is to make the recruitment experience better for everyone at the MoJ now and in the future.

I had significant responsibility in drafting important asylum and immigration decisions and managing caseloads throughout their life cycle. I developed a raft of written and verbal communication skills, ability to interview and document emotive and challenging interviews and make clear and effective decisions and judgements.

Mentoring and supporting new members of staff.Managing Prisoners to ensure they adhere to the wing’s regulations and any given regime directives for the Governor. Risk assess vulnerable prisoners for the potential of suicide/ self-harm and provide recommendations for their care, regime and rehabilitation.Compile intelligent reports and profiles on all prisoners, submitting to security and healthcare departments for their analysis and consideration.Collaborating with outside agencies providing input towards the multi- functional approach to tackle reoffending and making decisions on individual cases. Completed an NVQ level 3 in Custodial Care.
