Shift Supervisor at the Combination area responsible for the following units.(Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit, Fractionator and light-ends, un-saturates gas plant, lube vacuum unit, visbreaker/vacuum unit, thermal cracker, blowdownand flare). a.)The direct supervision of up to 8 Shift Operations staff including two Control Operators. The handling of all IR problems in relation to these personnel. This includes the recommendation for promotion as well as any disciplinary action.e.)The efficient, economic and safe running of all the process units/equipment listed above as well as any start up, shutdown and Turnaround activities that may be required. This includes the correct interpretation of any action on process sample results as well as any follow up.f.)Assist the Shift Superintendent with the Fire Crew as well as attend regular refresher training sessions as required.g.)Assist the Area Manager with the writing of procedures for the commissioning and de-commissioning of plant equipment.h.)Daily liaison with the Maintenance Department personnel with regard to the planning of any maintenance on a planned as well as breakdown basis.j.)Be available to take on assignments as required to do so, such as Hazop's, plant process reviews and investigations into plant/process deficiencies.k.)Issue of permits to contracting as well as maintenance personnel.n.)The accurate recording of all time worked by personnel under my supervision.
