I am an Australian qualified Fitter Machinist with over thirty years’ experience on Fixed Plants on several mines, including twenty-three years with Rio Tinto Tom Price and Marandoo mine sites.I have eleven years’ experience in Fixed Plants and twelve years’ experience with Mine and Town water supply Infrastructure department. My experience includes:• Machining and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including multistage pumps, bore pumps, sludge pumps, such as Warman slurry pumps and sump pumps.• Rebuilds on jaw and cone crushers, screens, apron feeders, stackers, reclaimers, conveyor belts, rock breakers, agitators, thickeners, clarifiers, compressors, magnetic separators, dust and scrubbing plants, gearboxes, fluid drive and assorted couplings.• Carried out plant inspections, fault finding and repairs on equipment, including breakdowns, and fault diagnoses, using CITECT. Vibration monitoring, heat gun, amperage readouts, product output, noise, OEM manuals and schematic drawings.• Consultation with other maintenance and operational staff as well as OEM, as necessary,• Worked nightshift and prepared the plant for shutdowns, including raising permits and isolations.• Relieved as supervisor on shift and shutdowns.Housekeeping, safety and duty of care have always been top priority during my career. All my paperwork/electronic times and feedback were all completed before end of shift as well as handover information for the incoming crew.
