The Cement Field Specialist provides cement services at the client's job site. Works directly with the rig's Tool Pusher and the Company Man on off-shore rigs. Prepare and pump cement into place into a wellbore. Undertake Cement operations to seal the annulus after casing string has been run, to seal a lost circulation zone, to set a plug in an existing well from which to push off with directional tools or to plug a well so that it may be abandoned. Through the use of algebraic equations, determine the volume of cement needed to be placed in the wellbore and the physical properties of both the slurry and the set cement needed, including density and viscosity. Use special mixers and pumps to displace drilling fluids and place cement in the wellbore. Trained in troubleshooting complex technical problems, safety awareness, and client interaction. Participate in post job debriefings.

Support Lead and Second Engineers and Specialists at the well site. Responsible for delivering high service quality to clients. Familiar with the oilfield business in general, D&M specific tools/services and the Schlumberger culture. Works as second person in a cell and under the lead measurements employee at the well site. Meets and maintains all minimum OFS Safety Training Coefficient (STC) requirements as well as job related STC. Provide pre-job and post-job support to engineers and specialists at the well site and in the base. Assist with rig-up and rig-down at the well site. Assist in the preparation of MWD and LWD tools at the well site. Assist in LWD log generation and delivery at the well site. Assist R&M technicians in checking and preparing MWD/LWD/DD equipment and surface systems (i.e. logging unit, computers, surface sensors, hand tools etc.). Follow and complies with all Schlumberger S Q, HSE and IT standards, wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Assist the lead engineer in the preparation of well-site reports.
