For me, people come first. I believe that by providing our team with opportunities and development, the rest drops into place. I’m here to get the best out of our people, which means empowering them, allowing them to take ownership of what they do and encouraging them to question, create and innovate. But most of all, I want them to enjoy what they do. As the linchpin between the two teams, I help ensure that everyone is on the same page and understands that everything we do is designed to work seamlessly together in order to help achieve Paycare’s short, mid and long-term goals and objectives.I work alongside the rest of the senior management team, our Non-Executive Directors, and other affiliated parties (such as specialist mental health companies) to ensure that money received through premiums is reinvested back into improving the services we provide to our individual and corporate policyholders, as well as into helping the communities we serve through donations. From a sales perspective, I’m responsible for implementing and strategising ways in which Paycare can attract, invest in and retain its clients – with the current average number of years an individual policyholder stays with us being 22 years, and corporate policyholders 12 years it means that a close working relationship is paramount.
