I am an expert in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and GPS hardware and software development, with over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Since May 2019, I have been serving as a Technical Advisor and Board Member at oneNav, Inc., where I lead the design of high-sensitivity GPS systems. Since 2002, I have licensed this technology to a major player in the Japanese mobile phone market, expanded into the tracking and automotive sectors, and contributed to winning the DR + GPS eCall design in Europe. In 2009, oneNav was acquired by Furuno.Before this, I worked as a GNSS Architect at Apple from October 2017 to April 2019, where I was the chief architect of GPS hardware and software for high-sensitivity systems. My work contributed to more than 20 patents, and I played a key role in advancing GPS accuracy and performance.In 2012, I founded GopherHush Corp, a company that developed a smartphone-based location analytics SDK. Our platform generated accurate movement data for customer discovery, using persistent-sensing technology to track activities like driving, biking, and walking, with cloud storage for location history.I also held a position as Sales and Business Development Manager at IP-Semantics, where I worked on licensing silicon IP technologies, including GNSS RF and LTE. Earlier in my career, I worked at Stanford Telecommunications Inc as a Senior Engineering Specialist, where I focused on GPS receiver software and navigation systems.During my nearly ten years at Trimble Navigation, I worked on multiple generations of GPS receivers for consumer and automotive applications. I led teams that developed GPS systems with increased sensitivity and accuracy, specifically for challenging environments like urban canyons, and supported clients in Japan and Europe.Throughout my career, I’ve remained focused on pushing the boundaries of GPS and GNSS technology, helping bring innovative solutions to various industries.
