I aid (aided) in the reflection and review process of over all organizational structure and design. When needed I consult on specific program outcomes, structure, and culture. I have also conducted workshops based on organizational need (team building, work force development, vulnerability, leadership development). • Founder of the first community Youth Leadership Development Program in Major League Soccer.• Organized, initiated, and led LAFC YLP’s Advisory Council in creation of organizations mission, vision, and leadership pillars.• Oversaw all daily operations including but not limited to delivery of leadership curriculum to student interns, implementation of LAFC YLP Pillars of Leadership, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and partners, co-writing of grant applications and reports, and integration of general operating culture alongside Bresee Foundation staff and Board of Directors. • Worked alongside Bresee Foundation’s development team to secure annual funding for general operating budget. I performed multiple functions in this role at the Bresee Foundation but my main responsibility was working as the lead teacher with the 6th grade classes. In that I assisted in providing high quality homework help to middle school students. I was responsible for maintaining classroom behavior and cultivating a culture of learning. I helped prepare supplemental lesson worksheets and/or activities that complemented appropriate grade level state standards. Tracking student progress and outcomes through attendance in homework sessions was also a part of what I did. Looking into students grades, pre- and post-tests, and preparing reports as required or needed was also asked from time to time. Teamwork is a major component of this organization and with that I maintained close and clear communication and relationships with Case Managers, Virgil Middle School counselors, and the Middle School Program Director. Communication regarding students’ progress, needs or behavior issues is a constant priority and emphasis.Assisting the Goals for Life high school program with College Prep workshops was also part of my responsibilities. In working alongside the Education Coordinator we have focused on area's such as but not limited to college application statements, career planning, resume building, SAT practice tests, and financial aid information.Adding to my supervisory experience I oversaw the development and work collaboratively with 2 educational assistants and 3 high school tutors. They assisted in the classroom as well as various leadership development workshops and activities.I also assisted with the soccer program at Bresee. After a few years at LMU as a Coordinator I was given the new title of Assistant Director of Student Leadership and Development. This extended my mentoring and advising experiences with opportunities such as Leadership Lunches, Leadership Take-Out Series, and Leadership Symposiums in addition to teaching college level leadership courses. Development of a leadership module (based on the Social Change Model) for the Student Worker Program at LMU afforded me the opportunity to work with a unique group of students who perform various jobs on campus to earn money towards their tuition. This endeavor furthered my passion for program development, advocating for those who are underprivileged, and brought out my natural ability as a mentor. It also helped me develop the necessary skills to be successful with people from varying socio-economic backgrounds and to earn their trust and respect.I was also responsible for the registration of 150 plus student clubs and organizations on campus. In addition to this I met with as many of the clubs as possible to offer them assistance from delegation skills to recruitment tools to advice on club event planning.

Upon graduation from Pacific I started a position at San Jose State University (SJSU). It was here I continued building relationships and forming partnerships, many with university departments and faculty from all areas of campus. These partnerships allowed me to be successful at my job and increased student engagement, resources, and increased awareness of programs and initiatives outside of the classroom put on by my department. In the arena of leadership development I specifically worked alongside the Associated Students Election Board. During this time I had the opportunity to lead seven students in organizing the election process for over 30,000 students. I advised them in navigating the election codes, rules, and regulations while helped them design a process that would be fair and just for all candidates running.I was also responsible for the yearly Leadership Summit designed for all the campus clubs and organizations. This included the planning and delegation of the committee, recruitment of facilitators, marketing and P.R., as well as content of the workshops.

Following graduation from CSUSB with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and after a stint as a Real Estate agent, I became a Traveling Leadership Consultant for Sigma Nu International Fraternity, Inc. Traveling to over 40 different universities across the Western United States enabled me to obtain business and people skills while traveling to many different locations. Not only did I learn to be efficient and meet our goals but I was afforded the opportunity to coach, motivate, and advise chapter governance and members in the implementation of leadership, recruitment, and new member education plans. Furthering my skills as a traveling leadership consultant I also increased my presentation skills facilitating conversations and presenting topics to a wide variety of populations including alumni, chapter members, and university officials.

I was a commercial real estate agent for almost two years where I managed and leased commercial properties valued at over 3 million dollars. I was responsible for the outreach and relationships with tenants, leasing of the available spaces, and the up-keep of the grounds and property. This business type atmosphere allowed me to form partnerships with various business owners and develop a level of trust and respect. It also served as a launching pad to learn new skills such as managing budgets, analyzing data, communicating to various populations, and adapting to any and all crisis situations.
