I am an experienced Director of commercial and public sector organisations, with turnovers in the half to one billion pounds per annum category. I have enjoyed a career working with complex high temperature processes, hazardous products and difficult waste materials, focussed on minimising their effects on the environment. My early working life was spent in tightly regulated activities, and I transferred that experience and the knowledge it engendered into my senior role in the Environment Agency. I was hands-on in setting the strategy for a significant European business during my time with Cleanaway, and also, more recently, for the Environment Agency. I have had experience of integrating different entities and cultures into one business, and forging working teams out of diverse technical specialists. I am UK based but have had experience of acquiring and directing businesses in continental Europe, as well as international work as a consultant.Specialties: Coal chemistry, Hazardous and general waste, water issues.
