Anthony is a partner based in the London office of J A Kemp. Anthony handles patent work covering a broad range of chemical technologies, including polymers, electroluminescent devices, electrochemical cells, fuel and lubricant additives, catalysts, dyestuffs, agrochemicals, food chemistry, chemical processes and refrigeration systems.Anthony has extensive experience of prosecuting patent applications at the European Patent Office. He also has considerable expertise in contentious proceedings before the opposition divisions and boards of appeal of the European Patent Office. He provides clients with input on strategic planning and with freedom to operate advice.Anthony first joined J A Kemp in 1992, following doctoral research looking at the semi-classical and quantum mechanical modelling of vibration-rotation energy levels in loosely bound complexes of hydrogen fluoride. He qualified at J A Kemp and became a partner of the firm, before leaving in 2006 to work elsewhere in private practice. Anthony re-joined J A Kemp as a partner in 2015.
