As the Atlanta Division Manager for SCAD Atlanta, I was responsible for the day-to-day security operations of the institution's Department of Campus Safety & Security. The purpose of this department was to enhance both the real and perceived safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, parents, community members, and visitors living, working, and/or visiting any of the premiere Atlanta campus facilities. As a part of this effort, I:-Managed a security staff of approximately fifty-five security professionals, working twenty-four hours a day across seven locations, and collectively providing around 1500 hours of security services per week in the form of transportation, access control, and traditional patrol/stationary services.-Coordinated and deployed available security resources based on the safety/security needs of the college in collaboration with the International Director of Security, other departments, AUS personnel, and local law enforcement.-Implemented ongoing professional development initiatives that prepared and trained staff to meet the unique demands of higher education security as well as urban center security in a major metropolitan area
