I manage a large account that Ageas Insurance holds with a Managing General Agent in conjunction with a colleague. We write numerous products in the insurance industry through this MGA that range from Travel policies, Property and Financial & Special risks.The role includes complete governance over the client which includes meeting with their Underwriters, Claims, Finance, Compliance and management.Another area that is part of my role is supporting our Actuaries with the quarterly ULR packs and attending their meetings.I also audit the client along with my colleague each year, sometimes twice where we will touch all parts of their business.Although there is a set level of delegated authority, when the larger schemes go above this level of premium it has to be referred into Ageas. I represented Ageas on the ABI Group Rating panel that met each month to provide car groupings to the Insurance industry and discuss new cars / technology. I was also responsible for creating all new vehicle groupings for Ageas and proving these via the software houses to our clients / intermediaries.I provided technical assistance through referrals to colleagues as well as other departments which included quarterly liaison meetings.Part of my role was also to oversee the postcode files and ratings used by Ageas, again providing technical assistance and where necessary data analysis.Project work formed a large part of my role and I was involved in and ran a number of large successful projects. This included running a project team with members from other departments who were often varying grades of seniority.

I was responsible for renewal cases that required review of terms or premium. This also included dealing with potential voidance cases, liaising with brokers or other departments to provide technical guidance and also overseeing staff policies.

I reviewed renewal cases that required additional terms or a review of pricing. This was all individual case work which required a good technical knowledge and excellent decision making abilities.
