Technical Claims Controller
CurrentManaging a portfolio of employers liability, public liability, commercial and private motor claims. In the main these are bodily injury claims with a financial authority of £2M. Also handling liability property and product liability claims. My current portfolio is circa £30M . The role is mostly office based, but I also undertake my own site visits, including interview of key witnesses. I also regularly attend settlement meetings and meetings with experts once cases have litigated. In addition I act as a technical referral point for adverse loss claims in one of the regional claims centres in the UK. This involves monthly visits, discussion and referral of new complex or potentially high value claims that may exceed regional site authority. Audits, coaching and to ensure an accurate database management system is in place to record all cases that have potential.
