This assignment, in the end, was an abject failure in my mind.While I did enjoy the work, and I did help the firm get their ArchiCAD system up and running; developed and refined their template and office standards; updated their hardware configurations to enhance productivity and more. And I didn't mind the mundane day to day too terribly.But I didn't enjoy the degree of confidence and support from my client that would have allowed me to really make the kind of contribution or impact that was my intention when I accepted the project.In all, a great lesson, in that without client buy-in, REAL progress is not possible.

This was a most enjoyable assignment for me.I designed fascinating and challenging structures, mostly in steel and concrete, for the outdoor advertising industry. Support and attachment of commercial signage both to buildings and in freestanding configurations.I also had the opportunity to Introduce and refine the use of several design and analysis tools/methodologies which increased accuracy and improved efficiency.

Supermarket, car dealership, medical office and similar sized structures. From new construction, to additions, and renovation-repair.My interest in software tools allowed me to develop methods to reduce re-work and revision iteration times, while also improving accuracy and clarity. These included reuse of architectural drawing files and automatically creating and revising drawing files directly from the analytical model.
