Engineer equipment mechanics perform preventive maintenance and make repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven construction equipment, and other engine driven or towed construction equipment.

Responsible for the personal and professional counseling, welfare, accountability, readiness and supervision of more junior Marines in Engineer Platoon.Conduct periodic training and inspections that will challenge and develop subordinates.Ensure all heavy equipment operators' maintenance is conducted and documented per the appropriate technical manuals and Marine Corps Orders.Track heavy equipment support requests, ensure equipment is scheduled and prioritized to complete support requests and properly dispatched while providing support.Track the readiness and supply status of all heavy equipment by using the Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) system and output reports.Advise the Heavy Equipment Section Leader and Maintenance Chief on any heavy equipment readiness and maintenance matters.-Assist in planning and employment of all heavy equipment assets and heavy equipmentpersonnel for daily operations, as well as training exercises and deployments.-Ensure Operational Risk Management (ORM) is exercised daily in all floor operations

Diagnosed and repaired all vehicles assigned to location . Safely used all power and hand-held mechanic's tools. Maintained lubricants and other fluids to maintain the equipment proficiency by regular checks and adopting preventative measures. Resolved the complaints in the vehicle and equipment by overhauling, repairing, modifying, replacing, disassembling and assembling the required component. Keep track of all parts and inventory parts on shelves.
