• Resolves shipping errors, and customer and driver requests by following up and providing quality customer service. Works with other distribution center management teams to handle and resolve shipping errors. Train, coach and counsel employees to prevent further shipping errors and elevate or eliminate customer and driver issues.• Provide direct support to the senior/terminal manager by providing positive leadership and supervision of over thirty employees. Lead daily employee and or planning meetings to ensure workforce communication and understanding of operational updates and daily goals. Determines opportunities for improvement of key metrics and executes plans to achieve results.• Review employee scan reporting logs daily and collaborates with privately owned driver’s management team and loading dock employees to resolve any concerns or department of transportation violations.• Assign and manages employees to ensure the safe and efficient sortation of packages through the facility, minimizing operational cost and maximizing operation quality, including the movement tracking and administration of trailers in conjunction with the linehaul department as needed.

Build professional rapport, effectively lead a team and positively influence diverse group.• Responsible for managing and assigning employees to ensure the efficient sortation of packages through the facility.• Assist Operations Manager in leading daily employee and/or planning meetings to ensure workforce communication and understanding of operational updates and daily goals.• Responsible for training new employees regarding job duties and performance expectations and ensuring compliance with FedEx Ground policies, procedures and other training requirements, including but not limited to training related to quality assurance, SWAK, hazardous materials, and dock safety.

• Loads and unloads packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor system carts and load gratings in a fast-paced environment. Ensured FedEx Ground continues to deliver packages to its customers on time and with care.• Cross Trained in various areas and positions such as Loader, Unloaders, and Quality Assurance.• Determines the appropriate conveyor system by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and memorizing information and sorts packages accordingly.• Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
