New Equipment Trainer/Lead Instructor for the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System, Met Profiler, Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System, Effects Management Tool, Gun Display Unit – Replacement, Forward Observer and CENTAUR systems.Duties and responsibilities included writing Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO) Enabling Learning Objectives (ELO) for Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist (MOS 13D), scheduling and coordinating training missions with Active and Reserve Army units, preparing class materials tailored to the needs of the unit. Providing both classroom and hands-on instruction on new equipment and instruction on software/hardware changes to previously fielded equipment, conducting and writing After Action and Trip Reports, maintaining Student Attendance/Training Records. Additional duties included serving as an AFATDS Field Service Representative in support of the AN/TPQ-53 Radar System testing and training new instructor personnel and providing technical assistance to U.S. Army and Marine Corps Artillery Units.

Responsibilities included writing and implementing Release Notes, Technical Manuals, and Technical Bulletins updates for the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS). Designing and implementing the Communications Interoperability & Troubleshooting Guide for the AFATDS, Forward Observer Systems, Fire Finder Radar, Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar, Meteorological Measuring Set, Gun Display Unit-Replacement and the CENTAUR automated technical fire direction system. Additional non-Fire Support Engineering Division projects included supporting Raytheon with Technical Bulletin updates based information extracted from the Requirements Definition Document and Engineering Change Proposals for AFATDS Software Versions 6.6 and 6.7.

Duties included training and verifying the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) software functionality and implementing training material changes based on software updates. Additional responsibilities included training and certifying new instructor personnel and providing technical assistance to U.S. Army and Marine Corps Artillery Units, training the interoperability of AFATDS with other Army Battle Command Equipment (ABCE) such as Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) and Maneuver Control System (MCS). Special projects have included the writing, training and refining of lessons for the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems Specialist (MOS 13D) on the XM-982 (Excalibur) Precision Guided Extended Range Artillery Projectile.
