Former primary school and secondary school teacher.Worked for the HSE as a Regulatory Inspector in the Construction Division for 4 years before moving to work within HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division for 3 years as a Regulatory Inspector.Completed NEBOSH General Certificate (1999) and Diploma in Regulatory Health and Safety (2022).Have worked carrying out Construction site inspections, ensuring sites are compliant with current H&S Legislation.Carrying RIDDOR incidents to discover immediate, underlying and Root Causes and taking appropriate enforcement action.Investigating concerns from members of the public.I have also taken 5 companies to prosecution for H&S offences acting as prosecutor using section 20 powers.I have a calm easy way with duty holders yet am clear about where breaches have occurred and the implications.Work for CRD involved ensuring companies/distributors are compliant with REACH, CLP, PPR, and BPR as well as compliant with HSW and other regulations.I have recently joined ONR as a Construction Site H&S Specialist - Nuclear Site H&S Inspector.
