As the Sr Data Systems Administrator at Spectrum Reach, I will be owning our Hadoop environment. Our goal is to optimize the use of our current cluster while preparing to grow and expand our capabilities in this space. Our customers rely on our advice to help them succeed and our advice is only as good as our data.

My responsibilities included building new Linux servers per project requirements. This typically was related to our expanding Hadoop environment, but also included other projects as well. I also assisted business owners with changes to their system and helped troubleshoot issues. In addition, our team handled patching and maintenance. I was also in charge of a POC to bring in a new software vendor to assist in the automation of our server builds.

As an IT Specialist I purchased and installed software and maintained updates. I insured network connectivity for all of our employees. I managed our email system through godaddy.com. I setup new sites by purchasing equipment, coordinating with service providers as well as contractors to complete the setup. I also managed printers on the network. In addition, I assisted staff with general technology problems, both software and hardware related.

As a Youth Pastor, I coordinated weekly youth events as well as larger events throughout the year. I worked with youth sponsors and parents in order to provide quality and and informative events for teens in the St. Peters area.
