My professional journey began in 2005 when I embarked on my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons.) at the University of Wollongong. During my time there, I gained a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practices.After completing my undergraduate studies, I pursued my passion for engineering further at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where I successfully obtained my Masters of Engineering degree. This advanced program allowed me to deepen my knowledge and specialize in various aspects of mechanical design.Presently, I am employed as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Amtek Vehicle Experts. In this role, I complete a wide range of tasks, including: 3D scanning, conceptualizing ideas, collaborating with clients to develop specifications, and designing ambulance, utility service bodies, prison transport and other custom vehicle fitouts. I work extensively with FEA, sheet metal and tube structures to bring these designs to life inline with the Australian Design Rules and Australian Standards. I revise designs to meet client expectations while maintaining cost-effectiveness and manufacturability. Additionally, I develop comprehensive manufacturing plans that optimize efficiency and ensure seamless production processes. I am responsible for drafting detailed designs that provide clear instructions for the production team. Through my expertise in design revisions, manufacturing planning, and detailed drafting, I contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet client specifications.Before joining Amtek Vehicle Experts, I worked at CADspace as the National Technical Manager and Solidworks Applications Engineer specialising in FEA/CFD analysis and training. In this role, I was responsible for troubleshooting customers' CAD needs, providing technical support, and conducting a wide range of certified SolidWorks training courses. These courses covered various aspects of SolidWorks, including Essentials, CFD, FEA, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Surface Modeling, Assembly Modeling, and Advanced Part Modeling.
