Final Line department is the final assembly line of the plant. As the Process Engineer I am responsible for the quality performance of a number of facilities including engine sub-assembly, wheel balance, wheel alignment, software download and diagnostic testing, and air conditioning and coolant fill. My roles include:- Problem resolution and data analysis using engineering principles to achieve continuous improvement for manufacturing processes- Daily monitoring of data to look for themes, patterns, trends, out of specification or out of control situations and acting accordingly - Working proactively within teams to prevent quality issues from occurring- Generate creative and innovative thinking to resolve complex problems and make quantitative sustainable improvements- Acting as lead plant representative in various quality forums to drive solutions to quality issues - Engaging stakeholders buy in for line balancing and productivity improvements

Materials Planning and Logistics (MP&L) is responsible for the management of all parts from the supplier base to the production line. As Production Supervisor, I was responsible for ensuring all parts were supplied to the line to maintain the production schedule. My roles included:- Providing strategic direction to a cross functional and culturally diverse organisation of 45 employees including forklift drivers, mechanics and office clerks- Meeting KPI’s in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and environment- Coaching & mentoring Work Group Leaders- Coordinating all sequenced parts with internal and external stakeholders- Near miss/workplace hazard identification and rectification- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise material flow, line side stock layout, market place, sequencing, kitting and delivery flows- Developing and implementing plans to improve versatility of the work groups, allowing greater flexibility in resource scheduling

As Process Improvement Engineer I was responsible for identifying and implementing improvements of various MP&L processes. These areas of improvement included:- Using a holistic approach for lean and continuous improvement strategies and applications to improve flow of materials, product and information- Translating strategies into physical, operational and cultural concepts, tools, processes, and standards that improve the value stream- Optimising logistic routes of the supplier pick up run- Aligning systems and processes to global platforms- Launching and introducing global programs to the manufacturing department

The Body Build department is responsible for the sheet metal assembly of the vehicle body. As Process Engineer I was responsible for the quality aspects of the underbody of the vehicle. My roles included:- Evaluating and interpreting long term statistical trends in assembly performance and their relationship to systemic product issues- Predicting assembly issues and implementing preventative actions- Analysing test results in order to improve existing processes or develop new processes- Implementing standards and procedures to increase organisational capability to identify waste and determine abnormalities- Improving facility processes such as robot programming, error proofing, tooling robustness, fastening, clamping, location strategies and datum techniques- Engaging the manufacturing workforce to help achieve high morale- Engineering/developing repair standards

The Cooperative Student Program was a twelve month work experience placement allowing university students to gain experience working in a professional engineering environment. As a cooperative student I experienced a wide range of jobs and responsibilities within the Body Build department, including:- Experience as a temporary production supervisor in three different areas- Assistant in launch supervision- Process engineer for exterior customer critical points- Application of 6-sigma principles to improve door closing efforts - Maintaining and developing a number of IT systems

The PEPS is an industry based scholarship awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in their field. This placement involved coordinating the “First Time Through Optimisation” initiative in Body Build and writing a thesis about the project. My responsibilities included: - Optimising the quality tracking plant wide database- Development and design of new reporting templates- Acting as Quality Control Supervisor- Applying 6-sigma techniques- Influencing the attitude of production staff, changing their focus from production quantity to vehicle quality- Analysing FTT data and defining actions for continuous improvements including interim and preventative corrective actions

I held a position in customer service acting as department second in charge. I was responsible for staff training, roster control, and inventory management. I also assisted in leading the Seafood department to achieve the highest annual salesresults for Queensland.

I worked as a professional tutor for senior secondary students in the areas of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. I monitored student development and created innovative study techniques for students.
