Procurement Analyst- Oe Parts
CurrentAs the OE Parts Procurement Analyst, I am responsible for the oversight of Supply Chain functions, which includes, but is not limited to Supplier relationship management, purchasing, material requirement planning and inventory management. In this role, I:- Manage relationships with supply base ensuring quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.- Collaborate with cross functional teams to forecast and plan assigned commodities at the SKU level.- Analyze messages from the MRP system and place orders in a timely manner.- Manage inventories to ensure high same-day fulfillment rate while maximizing turns.- Monitor and action key performance metrics, including on time delivery, inventories, shortages, supplier performance, and purchase price variance.- Monitor, manage, and report out on parts order backlog health.- Communicate with production to complete assemblies, kits, and transfers from production warehouse to fulfill parts orders.- Interpret drawings and communicates with engineering to develop aftermarket solutions for machines up to (and often older than) 10 years old.- Issue quotes, manage quoting database, track, and report quote conversion rates.- Triage parts inquiries to find shortest lead times and/or optimal pricing, while analyzing market for pricing optimization and strategic sourcing.- Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation.- Develop working knowledge of all purchased commodities and associated supplier base- Negotiate material prices and implement actions to offset increases.- Act as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.- Participate in Value Added and Value Engineering projects with suppliers and cross functional team.- Participate in strategic department and company projects and initiatives driving continuous improvement.
