My current role is Formwork Engineering Manager UK. I am responsible for all of the Formwork designs produced by Hunnebeck in the UK and for the welfare / training of 28 design staff in offices across the UK. My main remit in this role is to ensure that design production is acceptable / meets customer expectation whilst maintaining safety standards and economy of design. I am also responsible for initiatives such as Building Information Modelling and product development in the UK.

In addition I advise individual designers as to best practice etc on a daily basis. My responsibilities also include writing design procedures and auditing design offices against them.I have a good knowledge of managing a busy design office and am called upon to cover for our design managers absences etc. Show less

Secondment to Birse construction in order to meet Institute of Civil Engineers requirements for professional training. Duties included acting as site engineer on two new infrastructure projects. I was involved with activities ranging from surveying / setting out to calculating earth movement / soil testing and managing sub-contractors.

Work involved dealing directly with all parties engaged in a multi national construction project. The severe time constraints associated with a project of this scale enabled the development of my communication, organisation and design skills.
