About Anthony Kessler

Since middle school Anthony worked backstage on his father’s productions, where he learned how to load bricks on the fly rail, hang and focus lights, build scenery, stage manage, and everything in between. It was there, in the backstage wings of his father’s theater, where Anthony’s passion and understanding for production ignited. In 2003, after a brief stint in the hospitality industry, Anthony inevitably found his way backstage once again, this time working as a freelance stagehand. Anthony’s determination and versatile abilities were quickly noticed, and he climbed the freelance ladder taking advantage of opportunities that would aid his growth. Anthony took his experience onsite and successfully applied it to booking calls, and shortly thereafter, became the director of labor operations for some of South Florida’s leading production companies. Anthony joined Above the Mark early in 2019 and is committed to changing the industry here in South Florida for the better. By combining more than twenty years of experience in the touring and production industry, with his operation experience and labor management skills, the industry could hit a professional standard that truly is “Above the Mark.”
