This job required me to complete work orders for major commercial companies, complete and produce paperwork in a timely fashion and maintain a complete van inventory. Company specialized in Package units, split systems, and commercial kitchen refrigeration. My duties included diagnostics and repair of all issues involving commercial HVACR equipment (this includes refrigeration and kitchen equipment). I would leak search and repair units, replace compressors, replace and install various motors and electric components, roof sweeps, unit installs and all typical duties of a service tech. I was also required to complete quarterly PMs depending on the contracts. I would change filters, clean coils, record amperage and all other PM duties.

This job was my introduction into HVAC work. During this time I trained under a certified HVAC technician. During my time with TRANE I worked in the installation and maintenance branch. We specialized in commercial preventative maintenance and installs. PMs included cleaning and maintaining industrial water chillers and Air Handling units. Installs included constructing and properly insulating supply and return ducting, installing and plumbing both pneumatic and water controlled VAVs, installing duct heaters, and an introduction into installing EMS control systems.

As a sales specialist I was required to have outstanding customer service skills as well as general knowledge in order to sale, assist and install hardware and home improvement products. I was required to learn and use ALL power and specialty tools, perform store maintenance, and gain a basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, steel, and carpentry work. I was responsible for all hands on jobs and this location, such as cutting steel, cutting glass, threading pipe, maintenance and assembly.
