A crucial element in any narrative work of fiction is the rich world in which it is set. From political history, language, and culture to science, geography, and economics. This course focuses on creating exciting and believable worlds within which numerous games, stories, and role-playing adventures may emerge. Drawing on history, religion, architecture, biology, and other disciplines, students will design rigorously constructed worlds capable of supporting numerous engaging and believable stories, games, and legends.

TCE is identifying a problem in the entertainment industry where the rate of new content creation cannot keep up with the voracious appetite of consumers who devour it. By discarding the old model for franchise development and blazing a new trail, TCE is creating intellectual property in the categories of sci-fi/fantasy and animation that is specifically designed to be developed for original TV and Feature Film franchises. Through concept art, writing, and social media engagement we will demonstrate the power of the stories we create.
