In the Transition Room, I have helped students prepare for college through such activities as college-related workshops, field trips to postsecondary schools, signing up for the SAT, and assistance with the completion of college applications and financial aid paperwork. • Was voted Eastside High School’s (EHS’s) Teacher of the Year for 2010 and was selected as one of the five finalists for Paterson’s District Teacher of the Year.• Mentored students who won 1st place for the 9th and 10th grade category at Paterson’s District Science Fair in 2010 and 2nd place in 2014.• Taught science courses in EHS’s Summer School Program during the summers of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2015.• Served as a Professional Learning Community facilitator from 2006 to 2009.• Served as a member of EHS’s School Implementation Leadership Team for two years.• Assisted with the development of curricula for several environmental science courses. • Have tutored at-risk students in all subjects during my conference and supervision periods, as well as before and after school. Have organized several field trips for EHS science classes.
