Software Engineer
Current• Plan, design and execute on complex, multifaceted, Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications spanning multiple disciplines in the Oil/Gas/Chemical/Power Generation industries, including both front end and back end work.• Crafting easy-to-read, digestible instruction based manuals focused on explaining potentially complex topics in a presentable fashion, balancing information provided against the knowledge base of the likely audience for the material.• Meticulously designing written procedures to disseminate "tribal" knowledge, providing context to the reader as to the actions being performed in a succinct fashion • Engineering standards-setting documentation to accompany sophisticated control systems cabinets, often with hundreds of potential data points• Overcoming likely time wasting and follow through related hurdles in standards documentation by creating import/export functionality whole cloth, turning hours of otherwise tedious work into seconds of automation• Constantly improving previously described documentation by maintaining open dialog and feedback from individuals using the created work• Meeting the needs of complicated and rigorous client documentation requirements by working closely with individuals representing industry titans• Assisted in quoting, planning and commissioning vibration safety systems on rotating equipment• Provided expertise in machine vibration safety equipment to clients using a passion for the subject with an accompanying strong, foundational understanding of the instrumentation, the electronic components & generated signal deficiencies, and machine vibration theory• Working closely with software/hardware OEMs to provide feedback and/or assist with bug fixes• Reliably providing tech based support in general computer and network applications
