Roving Health & Safety BP across BMA, Whitehaven & Glencore coal projects, working with Project Managers, crews and clients building relations for a safe workplace. I partner with, coach and advise our senior leaders across our BMA, Whitehaven and Glencore mine sites. Also drive our HSE standards, culture, and systems to ensure we meet our performance goals. The role is focused on maintaining credible relationships and be a trusted advisor to the Site Leadership Teams

Duties & Responsibilities • Accountable for driving strategy and vision in the delivery of technical compliance across multiple sites and ensure compliance of operational service delivery. • Keep the Senior Management team informed of changes in WHS and Workers Compensation Laws across Australia that will impact the Company’s operations• Provide assurance that the company safety management systems are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the companies HSE policies and procedures, and local government OHS legislation.• Ensure all procedures are understood and implemented to each of the 10 Australian branch locations across 5 states.• Carrying out audits to improve company performance, which identify detailed, concise and actionable items that can be used repeatedly and successfully to identify weaknesses or lapses in controls in turn, promoting incident prevention. • Assure technical support to projects ensuring risk reduction and code/regulation/reporting compliance providing high degree of safety, workers welfare and wellness, compliance in terms of occupational safety, health and welfare whilst driving accidents and incident down.• Identify and carry out various development needs through schedule analysis and provide regular consultation with Managers and staff with a focus on behavioural safety adding to an ongoing recognisably improved risk culture.• Manage the Return‐to‐Work framework, providing assistance to managers with returning injured workers to the workplace, including the identification of alternative and suitable duties and/or host employers who will accommodate workers on suitable duties; and • Liaise with key staff within each insurance region, WorkCover and our major clients with respect to demonstrating our commitment to WHS and continuous improvement. • Reduced Workers' Compensation costs to an industry leading 1.74% of wages by raising the profile of OHS management throughout the group.

• Provide support and technical advice to stakeholders to ensure they are kept abreast of developing trends and assist them to innovate and improve their team’s overall safety performance. Pro-actively promote the development and implementation of OHS strategy and plans to improve OHS performance.• Monitor and report on safety performance and progress against OHS objectives to local and regional leadership teams. Routinely present findings at corporate meetings and steering groups to increase safety and risk awareness and engagement to strengthen communication channels.• Compiling, analysing, and interpreting statistical data related to incidents and occupational illnesses and environmental concerns. Ensuring maintenance of work-related incident and illness records and other records as required by law.• Conduct onsite risk assessments of client’s safety management systems to ensure compliance and understanding of legislative and internal business requirements• Lead toolbox discussions and safety conversations with external employees• Assist in the development and implementation of risk management processes/activities with new and existing clients.• Identify and carry out various development needs through schedule analysis and provide regular consultation with Managers and staff with a focus on behavioural safety adding to an ongoing recognisably improved risk culture.• Develop & ensure the competency of personnel in the identification and control of hazards & risks on location by actively engaging, influencing and persuade all operational and support functions to deliver an integrated, pragmatic approach to safety. • Conduct incident investigations and develop subsequent control measures.• Carry out OH&S auditing of new client sites and annual inspections of existing clients’ sites.• Lead the development and execution of policies, ensuring they are effectively implemented across Bluestone operations.•

Responsible for the day to day running, management and sales of a $12 million recruitment and staffing business on the Gold Coast. Managed a personal count of 150 casuals across 15 client sites. Successfully set and met budgets and KPI’s for the Branch. Including new client generation to ensure ongoing growth of the branch. I managed 6 staff members which included setting individual KPI’s, sales & consulting targets.
