I started my professional career in the world of Business Intelligence, using IBM's Cognos Rational Insight and Microsoft's SQL Server to extract raw data from Data Warehouses to build automated reports that provided detailed Test execution progress. That was my first exposure to the wonderful world of Testing and I haven't looked back since.I then moved into a spell of Manual testing. Specifically digital eCommerce and mCommerce platforms, Mobile and Tablet apps and yes, as you can imagine after a while it became as painstakingly tedious as it sounds, but I was still very much hooked on trying to find issues, problems, defects with software and then along came Test Automation in it's shining glory, the silver lining, some would even say the Holy Grail. It opened up so many different ways and methods to test software and has ultimately shaped my career to date.I have spent a large part of my career involved in Digital Transformations, specifically within Retail and this has given me exposure and experience in testing both Frontend and Backend, Microservices and RESTful APIs with the likes of Postman and SmartBear's SoapUI. Also focussing on implementing Testing Best Practices and Strategies, and more recently how that all fits into the world of Agile Testing, DevOps and CI/CD. There is so much more for me to learn, but this is a journey that I intend on pursuing further and further down the rabbit hole to see just how far it goes.
