I am an experienced Quality Manager from a tier 1 COMAH site, managing shift and day based teams, responsible for Automotive Quality and Process improvements, implementing QRCA activities when required. I hold a Green belt in Lean Six Sigma and use Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques like SPC, FMEA, 5S, 6 sigma and Kaizen to obtain improvements. I use KPi, daily management and standardize operations to ensure business objectives and operations are aligned and achieved.I have successfully introduced new products like 'IF automotive steels' producing over 1m tonnes of finished product, this required new practices to be adopted and followed a NPD procedure. Training and briefing of the production teams was necessary to complete this initiative. My role included being the Voice of the Customer, raising awareness of customer issues and resolving these leading a team using an 8D analysis including timelines, 5Y, Fishbone and other root cause analysis. I have undertaken Lloyd's ISO 9001, Automotive TS16949, shipbuilding and customer accreditation audits and managed the plant Quality Management System. Introduce new consumable refectory products using PPAP.Safety management has been a requirement in all of my roles and I have regularly undertaken Safety activities / audits.I have strong IT skills, manipulated large databases, obtaining key data and concisely presenting the facts enabling key business decisions to be undertaken. I am happy working within a team to meet outcomes, but also confident with independent work and hold a full clean UK driving licence.I graduated as a Bachelor of Metallurgy from the University of Sheffield and a Diploma in Management Studies from Teesside University.
