Hi, I’m Anthony Partida, a 4th-year Business Administration student at Cal Poly, concentrating in Information Systems. As a Transfer Peer Leader, I have the privilege of helping new transfer students transition smoothly into their first year, fostering their development and building a sense of community.I’m deeply passionate about expanding my knowledge in Information Systems and IT, and I’m currently exploring certifications that will give me a competitive edge as I search for full-time roles such as the CCNA and CompTIA S+. I thrive on learning and am eager to get a chance to use my skills in a professional setting.In addition to school, I work as a seasonal lifeguard during the summers, serving my community by teaching swim lessons and promoting water safety to both children and adults. My recent role as a Head Lifeguard allowed me to hone my leadership abilities and gain valuable administrative experience. I’ve also participated in specialized and fun training, including Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Personal Watercraft Rescue (PRWC).Outside of IS and lifeguarding, I’m passionate about staying active through workouts, running, and swimming. I am also a big foodie and will want to hear about your favorite restaurant recs. I also cherish spending quality time with friends, family, and my pets.
