I graduated in May of 2018 from the University of Portland and have been working in the marine industry since then. I began as a junior engineer working with a professional engineer in Seattle but I am now the lead mechanical engineer at our office in Seattle. My main focus is designing custom crane designs as well as marine deck equipment service solutions. I am proficient in 3D CAD (Inventor and Solidworks) and structural analysis utilizing FEA software (ANSYS). Collaboration and teamwork are necessary to create efficient and cost-effective solutions. That is why I work closely with project managers, purchasers, technicians, fabricators, and welders to create a quality product. We work in conjunction to create products that are both within budget and physically feasible. Our location does both service and manufacturing, which allows seamless collaboration between engineering and manufacturing. It is always amazing to see a product that is first created on a computer that is then implemented in the real world.
