Welcome to my Linkedin Profile. I am Chief Online Learning Officer at my institution and I also consult with organizations on the establishment, development, implementation and administration of e-learning/online learning/digital learning programs. My scholarly activities include program, institutional and accreditation/regulatory issues in online/distance learning, I have served as a consultant/trainer to Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, government agencies, non-profits and to all levels of educational institutions.I have served as President of the Division of Distance Learning of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) and on AECT's Strategic Planning and Leadership committees. I am currently a Trustee and Past-President of the AECT Non-Profit Foundation. I also serve on the editorial boards of the Quarterly Review of Distance Education, the Journal of Educators Online, the Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration and as Production Editor/Webmaster for the Journal of Conflict Management. I am excited to be Series Editor (alongside Dr. Chris Miller of Morehead State University) of the "Leadership and Best Practices in Educational Technology Management" book series published by Brill Publishers, a 300 year-old firm. This series addresses the lack of publications for those who lead/manage/administer educational technology and online/digital learning within their organizations. I believe strongly that teaching and engaging in scholarship provide needed perspectives for someone in my position, so I try to practice what I preach by regularly teaching online and by maintaining an active research, publishing and presentation agenda. I recently co-edited my sixth book and have published over 90 articles, book chapters and other scholarly and practitioner publications.
