Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems throughout a 42MW Cogeneration power plant. Perform work on electrical systems with voltages anywhere from 24VDC up to 120KV. Perform a daily wide range of responsibilities including troubleshooting and programing various controllers, PLC’s, VFD’s, and relay circuits. Work on a GE LM6000 gas turbine with Mark VI controls and a steam turbine utilizing an Ovation DCS system. I am responsible for the calibration of all instrumentation in the plant such as flow, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters. Using infrared to troubleshoot electrical systems and generating reports using Flir tools. Also have limited experience in 20MW solar plant working with Bonfiglioli Inverters.

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment through various checks with thermal imagers and multi meters to ensure proper operation of electrical components and equipment. Install maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including but not limited to: motor control circuits, PLC’s, VFD’s, instrumentation, lighting circuits, 3 phase circuits, single phase circuits, 90VDC – 480VAC etc. Work directly with the maintenance manager to order parts needed to keep up inventory and to find parts when needed. Extensive use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Use of the NEC with an emphasis on hazardous locations.

Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure the proper operation of the equipment to help maintain a safe and productive processing facility. Daily use of MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, with a bid emphasis on stainless steel. Used many shop tools including plasma torches, acetylene torches, band saws, lathes, brake press, shears, pipe benders, and pipe threaders. Kept up on a preventative maintenance schedule, while also maintaining work orders. Worked directly with the maintenance manager to achieve daily goals and to come up with solutions to solve problems.
